About Lucy Appiah
Lucy Appiah is a Christian Youth Speaker, Mentor, and Youth Development Coach committed to equipping the next generation to live with clarity, resilience, and purpose.
She has led impactful nonprofit and educational programs, including serving as Associate Director of the Yale Young African Scholars Program and Senior Program Officer at the Campaign for Female Education. Through these roles, she has influenced more than 3,000 young people across academic and leadership pathways.
Lucy holds an MPhil in Social & Developmental Psychology from the University of Cambridge (UK) and a BA in Psychology from the University of Ghana.
Her academic background and years of youth leadership experience ground her work in a deep understanding of how young people grow in identity, character, and direction.
Why She Speaks
In 2023, during a season of prayer and discernment, Lucy sensed a clear call from God to use her voice to serve young people more directly. She stepped away from her role at Yale to launch Young With Purpose — an initiative dedicated to helping teenagers and young adults:

- • Navigate seasons of pressure and transition with faith-centered tools
- • Cultivate habits that support academic readiness and life transitions
What began in youth ministries quickly expanded into partnerships with churches, schools, and community programs.
Lucy's approach integrates Biblical truth with practical resilience tools — equipping students not only to be inspired, but to grow in emotional maturity, spiritual depth, and disciplined action.
Her work in youth leadership and student development has been recognized for its impact, including recognition as an Influential Woman in leadership.
Above all, Lucy's heart is to see young people become spiritually grounded, emotionally strong, and confident in who God has called them to be.
